STUDIO - PERSONALITIES

The production staff at LAI is carefully cross-trained and chosen for their multi-talented mix of practical experience. Directing this process, and managing each project in "hands-on" methodologies developed over our many years of experience, are senior executives with proven leadership and customer relationship skills.

LAI senior managers each average over 25 years of project design, budget monitoring and project management experience. We respond quickly to all of our clients' needs, communicate thoroughly with all members of the project team, and facilitate every aspect of the design/build experience. Our teams are trained to manage our clients' project programming, space planning, field verification, construction documentation, furniture procurement, interior design, and construction administration needs.

Donn Lamoureux - President

After attending SMU and earning his Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Houston, Donn Lamoureux founded Lamoureux Associates, Inc. in 1978. In the ensueing years, Mr. Lamoureux has guided LAI through the oil bust of the eighties, the real estate bust of the nineties, 911, and the global economic meltdown of 2008. Throughout the years and despite the challenges, Donn has insisted that LAI reflect his personal values including respect, quality, customer relations, service, and integrity.
A husband, father of two, and grandfather, Mr. Lamoureux is a long time supporter and Board member of the EmilyAnn Theatre and Gardens in Wimberley, Texas. Donn's personal intersts include sustainable building systems, passive energy systems, and kayak fishing the open waters of Aransas Bay.

Colin McLain - President Architecture Division

As President of the Architecture Division at LAI, Colin McLain is a Licensed Architect in the State of Texas since 1989 and brings over 37 years of diversified experience to our client's projects. Within those years of experience he has served as the Project Architect and Project Manager on a broad range of Commercial, Retail, Hospitality, Corporate and Industrial projects. These projects have involved new buildings as well as extensive renovations and additions. From the initial Programming and Code Analysis through the Design and Documentation then culminating in Construction Administration, he is closely involved in every aspect of the project's development. Colin's employment in the Facilities Management organizations at the Bechtel Corporation and Compaq Computer Corporation provides him that large company understanding that has been valuable with the development of our client's objectives and strategies.

Sherry LaPrade - Vice President Operations

Sherry LaPrade is the Vice President of Operations for LAI. Sherry joined LAI in 1981 and has literally done it all. A graduate of Stephen F. Austin University, Sherry earned a Bachelor of Science degree in 1981. Sherry enjoys an impeccable reputation with the Houston real estate community and is know for her integrity, thoroughness and meticulous project management. Owners, tenants, brokers, leasing agents, property managers and contractors all know and respect her.

Lori Gunn - Controller

As Controller at Lamoureux Associates, Ms. Gunn’s responsibilities include maintaining financial stability, working with the firm’s project managers to assure that projects stay on budget, and ensuring that financial resources are allocated efficiently. Prior to joining LAI, Lori served as Vice President of Operations at Bricker + Cannady Architects where she was involved in all aspects of financial and operational management.
Ms. Gunn is very active in community service, currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Katy Chamber of Commerce where she chairs several committees which include the Education Committee, Gala and Rice Harvest Festival Volunteers committee. She also sits on the P-16+ West Houston Council, the St. Christus Catherine Advisory Council, is a Team Leader and driver for Home Delivered Meals, and is also a Foster for CAP.

Marc De La Flor - Senior Designer

Marc has a Bachelors Degree in Architectural Design from Westwood College. With over 10 years at Lamoureux Associates, he has experience in construction administration, code analysis and has worked on a variety of projects including high end corporate office spaces, food service establishments and multiple floor restroom remodeling projects. With his attention to detail, the client’s design needs, and creativity, he can complete a thorough set of plans that meets and exceeds the client’s requirements.

Coby Williams - Designer

Coby is a proud Texas A&M Alum with a Bachelor of Environmental Design. He has completed many high-end corporate office spaces and several food service establishments in his 7 years at Lamoureux Associates. He is a creative designer with adept intuition for details. Coby enjoys golfing, music, and spending time with his wife and two young children in his spare time.

Rocio Galindo - Designer

Rocio began her architectural education at Universidad Santa Maria in Caracas, Venezuela. She is a citizen of both Venezuela and the United States. Rocio completed her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Architecture and graduated Cum Laude from the Savannah College of Art & Design in Savannah, GA . Rocio obtained her LEED accreditation in 2009, and with 2 years experience at Lamoureux Associates she is well trained in space planning, construction drawings, and finish selection.
